Burt Reynolds (11 February 1936 - 6 September 2018) was an American actor and former college football player. He is known for his roles in Deliverance, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Cannonball Run, Hooper, Evening Shade and Boogie Nights.
He played Bandit in the 1977 feature film Smokey and the Bandit, and its sequels Smokey and the Bandit II and Smokey and the Bandit, Part 3.
