Bandit (aka Bo Darville) is the main character in the 1977 feature film Smokey and the Bandit and its sequel Smokey and the Bandit II. He also appeared briefly in Smokey and the Bandit, Part 3.
Bandit also appeared in a series of four TV movies in 1994: Bandit: Bandit Goes Country, Bandit: Bandit Bandit, Bandit: Beauty and the Bandit, and Bandit: Bandit's Silver Angel.
He was portrayed by Burt Reynolds in the original trilogy, and by Brian Bloom in the TV movies.
About Bandit
Bandit is a truck-driving legend from Atlanta, Georgia. Big Enos Burdette and his son, Little Enos, bet Bandit that he couldn't drive from Atlanta to Texarkana and illegally bring back 400 cases of Coors beer in 28 hours. He enlists Snowman to drive the truck, while he blocks the police in the Trans-Am.
After a relatively uneventful west bound trip, they cross the Texas state line. He loads the beer on the truck with a forklift claiming, "I can drive any forking thing around." Heading back to Atlanta, he picks up a hitchhiking runaway bride whose car has broken down. He intends to drop her at a local choke-and-puke to catch a bus home, but they converse as the miles roll by and grow to like each other.
Meanwhile, Sheriff Buford T. Justice, the father of the jilted groom, is chasing her, and thus him too. He pursues them all the way to Atlanta, despite accumulating damage to his car. Bandit uses his driving skills to evade Smokey at every turn.
